What's a health coach?
A health coach support clients in developing healthy habits and a lifestyle that promote vibrant health throughout the life cycle. Is a supportive mentor and wellness guide that helps clients feel their best guiding them towards dietary and lifestyle changes in order to reach the right balance and live an happier, healthier and more fulfilling life.
Why I do it?
My purpose in life is to raise more awareness towards health and general well-being. I aim to help and inspire others to live healthier, more satisfying, and happier lives.
I have been living with Ulcerative Colitis since many years, and during this time my life has been a rollercoaster of suffering and pain. At one point I decided to transform that pain into power. Making this decision inspired me to study, research, read, and experiment different approaches regarding health and healing. This helped with my disease, but also with my overall health and well-being.
Realising that health issues can be prevented and even reversed with dietary and lifestyle changes, I felt obliged to serve, help and guide others towards a healthier and more empowered life.
I believe that the human body is able to self-heal. We all know what is right, but often we need a guide that can help us arrive at that ‘aha' moment.
Whatever your specific goals are, I want to help you achieve them using my personal experience and knowledge in holistic health and integrative nutrition. I see health as the greatest wealth, that allows us to enjoy life to the fullest.
Healthy living is more than "the latest fancy diet for weight loss”. It has to be pleasant and sustainable. I see every human as an individual. Each person’s body, mind, and soul is unique, therefore the way each person responds to life is unique. I am here to identify the areas of your life that are lacking attention creating imbalances that can lead to discomfort, weight gain or loss, health issues, unhappiness, and other life issues that prevent you from living a happy and healthy life.
As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I work with an ongoing coaching plan to support client’s goals. While dietary nutrition is discussed, there’s a large focus, as well, on non-food forms of nourishment like career, relationships, physical activity, spirituality, and other areas. For instance:
does your job cause you stress that you relieve with over eating?
does lack of sleep or low energy levels prevent you from exercise?
is your constant headache caused by dehydration?
are you in a toxic relationship that stops you from feeling in control of your life and yourself?
